IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS ON COACHING AND INSTRUCTOR TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT COURSES

Canoesport
If you are attending a canoesport coaching (either training or assessment) course you must obtain a stamped C1 form prior to the course and bring it with you on the course. This is essential. You can obtain a C1 form from CANI (tel 0870 240 5065) or from clicking here. When you fill in the C1 form, it must be forwarded to the BCU for authorisation, not to CANI. Full details are available on the C1 form.

A stamped C1 form is proof that you have obtained all of the course pre-requirements and may attend a training or assessment course. You should allow at least two weeks for your C1 form to be processed.

If you book on a course and arrive without obtaining a stamped C1 form, you will be unable to attend the course and will lose your course fee.

Mountaineering and Rockclimbing
Prior to attending a mountaineering or rockclimbing leadership training course (such as CWSA, SPA, WGL, ML or MIA) you need to register with one of the home nation training boards. A registration form is available by clicking here. You need to register seperately for each scheme. You can also obtain a registration form by telephoning Tollymore Mountain Centre (028 4372 2158).

If you book on a course without registering, you will be unable to attend the course and will lose your course fee.

You do not need to re-register in order to attend an assessment course
