This winter in our dedicated rolling pool Tollymore we will be running a number of coaching sessions which focus on fine tuning the skills of Eskimo rolling. Our low student to staff ratio guarantees lots of individual feedback and one to one opportunities. Our ability to use video feedback on the pool side allows you to see first hand what areas you need to focus on.
Our rolling clinics are designed to identify gaps in your performance and work on ironing out those ‘wrinkles’. We will also provide you with an action plan to further develop the consistency of your roll after you leave.
In order to maximise your learning experience, the ‘Step Up Fine Tune Your Roll’ skills course is provided on a maximum student ratio of 1:4; this is to ensure you can maximise one to one time with your coach.
Are you unhappy with the consistency of your Eskimo roll, does it require a lot of effort, do you dread falling in because it has become a little rusty, then look no further as this ‘Step Up Fine Tune Your Roll’ course is for you.
Watch this short video clip of Oisin Hallissey, Head of Paddlesport showing us it’s done.
All technical equipment will be supplied by Tollymore so all you will need is swimsuit, towel, toiletries, goggles and nose clip (if you have them).
Our pool is stocked with the full range of Dagger Mambas, RPM and Junior kayaks and Pyranha Burns. We also have a Valley Aquanaut and Avocet in the pool for those wishing to learn to roll a sea kayak.
The Step Up Fine Tune Your Roll course fee includes all technical equipment, coaching and lunch. You can fill a flask with tea or coffee at the Centre if required.
Your course is a one day course, so accommodation is not provided. However, we do have changing rooms, showers and lockers available for your use.
We can offer you a nights’ accommodation and breakfast either at the beginning or end of a course for an extra £26.50 per person. This is a great way to further enhance your time at Tollymore and savour the beautiful majestic setting that the Centre has to offer.
