↓ Course summary
The aim of this day is to explore the necessary skills, knowledge and decision making to safely participate in stand up paddling more independently.
To start, we will look at how to source a suitable weather forecasts, local tidal information/ river level information. How to find out the best places to access the water, for example local lakes, rivers, canoe trails, coastal access points, along with Information about local paddlesport clubs. Additionally we will discuss who we should contact when going afloat and what we should carry.
At the water we will cover how to decide suitability of venue, apply forecast, confirm tidal information, or river level to venue.
