You should have some previous kayaking experience and basic boat handling skills is a big advantage. It is important that you are confident/comfortable in the water and can swim in a buoyancy aid.
This course is run in our state of the art rolling pool. We will start with the fundamentals and over the course of the day will help you to develop these foundation skills into a reliable roll that you can count on.
Skills covered will include boat set up, core strength, edge control, support strokes and the Eskimo roll.
Watch this short video clip of Oisin showing us how it’s done.
This course is not designed for beginners but for those wishing to learn how to roll a kayak. For those interested in progressing down the road to independent paddling the Eskimo roll is a big step on this journey.
