The two day Core Coach Training is generic and open to all paddlesport coaches at this level.
A Coach is someone who supports paddlers who want to gain or improve their Paddlesport skills. This includes coaching beginners new to the sport or paddlers looking to develop their skills in the range of disciplines and environments our sport has to offer. This may include developing independent paddlers, supporting athletes at competitions or the physical and psychological development of your paddlers. A coach is able to plan, deliver and review progressive sessions safely, effectively and independently. A Coach is keen to develop others, introduce people to their discipline(s) and share their experiences.
On this practical based course, you will explore different approaches to coaching, understanding and enabling learning, and some core coaching skills. You will also be supported in evolving your personal coaching development plan to enable you to take your learning into practice after the course.

This course is open to anybody who has an interest in coaching paddlesport. There is direct entry into this level, and the Core Coach Training is required by coaches looking to go on to either coach in sheltered, moderate or advanced levels.

We know that you and many others like minded folk are very keen to get back on track with your plans to attend and complete a range of personal skills training and qualifications in a range of disciplines.
Believe us when we say we are equally keen to get outside with you and help you reach your goals and complete that journey.
How do we know? Because every day we get emails and phone calls asking when will courses resume and with every NI Executive mention of easing of restrictions the emails and phone calls are more frequent……
