Participants should be competently leading single pitch routes of very difficult / severe.
You should also be reasonably fit and comfortable on exposed crag situations.
This course will weather permitting spend much of the time on the crag. Don’t expect to be guided on this course – you will be working hard learning the difference between the single and multi-pitch crag environment.
On the crag we will cover a variety of belay and rope systems which will be useful to the multi pitch climber.
We will also look at how to avoid and deal with simple mid multi-pitch crag problems.
This course is for the competent single pitch climber who wants to be given a solid and safe introduction to the skills to venture onto multi-pitch routes.
The following list is a suggestion of what you should bring. Waterproofs and rucksacks may be borrowed from our extensive stores.
